1. The Years Ahead boxes were introduced earlier than I realized. This example is from 1968.
2. This early outer box has a black lower half. I have seen some with silver bottoms that must have come later.
3. The date code on the 1858 movement is “6811”. The watch was sold on Nov. 2, 1968. Hmmm.
4. The watch was sold by a Seiko dealer and presumably came new with the Seiko Lordmatic bracelet also photoed. But I doubt any collectors would accept the bracelet as original to the watch even with documentation. Do you agree?
