Breguet Tradition 7027 - A surprising "strap monster"
I've been of the opinion the Tradition series would be more versatile than one might think with respect to different strap options. I've been trying it out with the various straps I bought recently in particular the new batch of Delugs straps I got last week. I've posted some of these in the WRUW threads last few days but I thought it would be interesting to gather them all in one place here. Not all of these combinations might be to everyone's tastes but I personally I like all of these combinations to various extents. The cobalt (light blue) is the only one I would be a little more careful with, I would want to really make sure it fits in with an ensemble.
Starting off with the loudest combo here, the cobalt blue Barenia. A very supple strap supposedly from the same tannery Hermes gets theirs.

I was really quite interested in this purple alligator. I was a little fearful it might be just a bit too much but in practice the purple colour is not that wild and actually seems to suit my skin tone quite well. The result is funky but not excessive in my opinion. These pictures in good light show off the strap at its most vibrant. I think this might be one of my favourites.

Couple of more classic combos which I already posted earlier, Green and Navy gators. I had been wearing the green a lot although I meant it more for the GO Panograph when I bought it.

This waxy green strap works unsurprisingly well after having worn the green gator. But a much more casual vibe compared to the croc.

Delugs calls this the Stormy Seashore and it seems similar to Saffiano leather. I really like this one.

And finally the "Mudflaps" strap for a very dressed down look. Worked surprisingly well actually.

The original OEM black strap the watch came with. Certainly a handsome but safe combination.

Nice. My personal favorites are the purple and the dark blue alligator. Everyone’s different, but I think some of the less formal straps are a more difficult sell given the design of the watch. I like the colored alligator straps, the colors give it some pizzazz without sacrificing all the dressiness of the piece. OTOH, for me, the original black strap is too sedate for me. It’s a watch that deserves attention.

That is quite a chameleon. The Longines Legend Diver is like that. Seems to work with every strap color even pink (The LLD).
Cheers,
Michael

Purple, Stormy Seashore and original black - in no particular order.
Purple looks rich, black looks classic, Stormy Seashore is a fetching alternative to black.

I too dig it on the purple, or the stormy blue.

I agree, but from a straps perspective, I really love the waxy green and mudflaps. I'm going to purchase those two and then figure out what to wear them with

I like the purple and the green alligator. The blue alligator is OK, but it borders on the black in all but the most perfect light.
Cheers,
Michael

That reminds me, the legend diver is something I need to give a second look to.

Agree with both of you, stormy seashore might be one of the most versatile options. Its casual-ish but also the saffiano type finish works well enough for a dressier look too. And the navy blue colour goes with a lot of outfits.

The mudlfaps was the big surprise for me to be honest. Well maybe not entirely so as It was illustrated on the delugs website with a Lange 1815 chrono but still it works really well with the Breguet too.

The croc straps are definitely the most immediate choices and the ones I bought with the Breguet in mind. But I have to say the more adventurous options have won me over. I didn't think a watch named "tradition" would be the one to take me into the more experimental realm of strap colours but there we go.

The new 39mm looks like a nice watch. If I didn't have my Polaris I'd be buying one.

Interesting, its been a while since I looked closely at that but its now available in 36, 39 and 42mm it seems? Although to be honest the Sinn u50 and the new coaxial speedy pro are probably higher up my list. A speedy pro has especially has been long on my list but always pushed back in favour of something more unusual or harder to obtain.
