If I just had to have another dive style desk diver watch...

It would be something in the Omega line or this SOH. I don't like an overbearing large font on the bezel (which a real underwater watch needs)

I am NOT shopping mind you,

The Superocean is one of my favourites - and the price isn’t bad. Both have the advantage of not looking like a relative of the Submariner.

The Breitling doesnt do much for me personally but the Seamaster is to die for. The trilogy watches are all fantastic in my book.

I’m also a big fan of both, especially the newer SM300 model, with the slimmer case and redesigned bracelet. I am seriously considering getting one next year.

    Breitling, ftw!
Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

Is that the one with a lollipop seconds hand? I’m not sure about the lollipop.

Yes. I too have reservations about the lollipop, but overall, I think it’s a win. Especially as pretty much every update improves wearability, which is why I ended up selling mine. I loved it, I just didn’t love wearing it.

I’ve owned the Breitling (more than once) so that would be my hypothetical vote. Long lugs though FYI.

They are - 51.5mm, lug-to-lug. I’ve been keenly comparing a few watches lately (for reasons that may not become apparent for months) and that could be critical for some.
