If you were to buy a new watch in the next 6 months…

With a budget of $3,000 to $7,000, what would you get? What watches are running around in your head as must haves (or just wants) right now?

EDIT: Upped to $7,000 to widen the array of responses.

I'd like to find a pre-owned FC Perpetual Calendar like @Dynamite_Kid19. Also, a Traska Venturer GMT in green.

    What is on your radar?

A 39mm Tudor Ranger (which, hopefully, would come in at a little under $3K).

Thinking Swiss, that’s Tudor-Breitling territory for me, but I have all the Tudors I want and the Breitlings I like cost more. A suitably-priced Omega doesn’t spring to mind. I guess I’d then be looking at Germany and Japan, but I wouldn’t know what.

I’ve recently been looking at the next level up (£5-10k, and because of a pending inheritance), and quickly concluded that everything costs too much, and that truly wondrous things are always out of reach.

Ha. Start working then now. I think it took me 3-4 months to close on mine.

These two keep coming back to my thoughts...

Not going to buy a watch within next 6 months though. Maybe something else instead...

I haven't found my perfect temptation yet. In this under $5k price range, only one or two watches keep yanking my chain. One of them could be a collaboration between Silberstein and Erard, maybe not the regulator specifically, but similar... (it's the one I have a photo nearby.)

But the longer term temptations are closer to $10k, which might include a JLC Duoface Midsize

    or a used Explorer 1 214270 Mk2 like Hayday's.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

I have all of my bases covered, however, this one appeals to me.

Also, a Reverso is for sure on the list.
