Spring ahead, Fall back
If your country recognizes Daylight Savings Time or some such you probably have to correct your time pieces today. For me it is 7 quartz watches, 4 wall clocks, the coffee pot, the oven, and the microwave oven. And, i am probably overlooking something. Sunrise here went from 06:42 to 07:42. How odd to still be dark outside at this hour.

So, I’ve got 6 watches, 4 of which I keep running. I’ll set those.
Oven clock
Microwave clock
Wall clock in the living room
That’s it. Everything else in my house is on a network, so they’ll all automatically adjust.

In Europe they don't change until the end of March.

We have a bunch of clocks that need to be reset manually. My watches, all but four run out on their own and always need to be wound/reset when I wear them, so no big deal. For the other four, I just reset when I've picked one of them to wear that day.

I don't travel across time zones, I have no reason to remain aware what time it is in another city or country, and really British Summer Time and Daylight Savings Time and the such don't play into my life. Yet, the idea of moving clocks ahead or back an hour twice a year annoys the shit out of me. I sincerely wish the entire world would follow one clock and NEVER change it!

I meant no BST, DST.. we all use GMT or UTC something, without 1 hour shifts. If London is 5 hours ahead of me it should always be 5.

I confess to liking DST, but yours is the better view. Sleep experts, by and large, believe it is healthier not to switch and I think most argue that standard time best suits our innate circadian rhythms.

I think in winter we should wake up at go to bed 2 hours earlier both sides and in summer 2 ours later. Commuting in the dark sucks.
