Is it strange that I do not like 5's? I wanted to buy them on many occasions, but every time I saw it real life, I was disappointed in some aspect of it...

I totally know what you mean.
I feel the same way with 98% of them.
But fair is fair, so I will say they get 2% right flawlessly.

But, since they are SO consistent in their imperfection, I have to also wonder if this is not some "cultivated" sensibility on their part.
A kind of artificial imperfection, not to say wabi-sabi, but some specific aesthetics that is tuned to deliberate imperfection or defective beauty.
