Here's my favourite Tag5, a friend I was working with at the start of the year had one and I was continually struck by it. Bit hearty for me, though.

Lol... well, Henry said he was a fan but didn't own a Certina. Sort of off topic, but here is a pic of my two...

Even a broken watch shows correct time once or twice a day. I ought to know, I have a few!

I've decided that I really like the transition from the case to the lugs. Like it's *almost* straight'n'severe...but they've put a tiny little curve in there, to soften it. Similarly, there's a real delicacy to the facets of the lugs themselves. Really thoughtful design.
And, tbh, most my watches with their pretty dials have far more straightforward cases and lugs

Yeah that 1971 Seiko has some sporty aspects to it, as well as the charcoal sunburst...
....after I posted this thread I imagined someone replying "You think this watch is any different from all your other watches? You seriously see a substantive difference between this and your nine identical watches? Are you #^£&ing crazy?! Get. A. Grip, you moron."

I don't have a strong opinion. I've seen the Certina in the metal and it's 'quite nice'.

Do I hear the Certina DS1 calling me...or just the idea of it?
Interesting departure :-)
Have you tried one on yet?
My concern would be the thickness, 12mm
The profile is up there with the Aviator for me: nicely executed but not slip in a sleevable
(borrowed pic)
Some nice vintage Certinas, though

It's the final countdown! PM me before they're all gone!

Trying a watch on before buying it? I've never done that so far in life
12mm would be no more than my Nivrel - in my head this kind of style is supposed to be thicker than my nice slender manuals so I'm okay with that. Never doing up my cuffs helps too
Ooh, must check the lughole height though! That makes a big difference for me and wrist.
Am getting no further with fathoming how I would be with a watch that's not twinkling away

Ooh look the Powermatic 80 version has a pretty dial.....but a white date wheel
Also the lume added to this model undermines the austere look
