I reported the fake Sky Dweller so this was a first for me. Generally others find these well before me. If I can find about 15 things wrong, it was not a very convincing fake.

My Sunday watch

Just like last week, an Elgin model 15 grade 453 "Veritas". 16s, 23j, this time inn a 10K GF Star Watch Case Co. case. Last week's version was from 1919, this is from 1921. For those who haven't seen it before - the dial photo was taken with the bezel off and the lever extended. RR's didn't much like "pendant set" watches, because they were too easy to set accidentally. So - to set a RR grade watch, you had to unscrew (or swing out) the front bezel, pull out the lever (good fingernails helps), and set the watch. No need to pull on the crown.

On this one, removing the front bezel is even more interesting - the case is smooth everywhere. There are no ridges or textures to help. A nice, soft rubber ball comes in handy.
