One of my old bikes, heavy ole tank saved my ass in a crash with a pickup. I went up the bonnet and over the roof and it was the boxer cylinder head sticking out saved my leg from being crushed. Bike was knocked 30 yards up the road and I picked it up and rode it home. Pickup was undrivable ...
current bike, commuting, 5 speed box, needs 6, crap round town with constant gear changing but it gets me to work.
Another ex, stolen two days after the final payment was made, my first brand new bike too, bastards.
I hope they wrapped it round a tree and died .. seriously ... died slowly ...
where it all started, I loved this so much I traded it for the exact same model, same colour and everyone thought I just washed it :-)
too many to list in between in the last 27 years of riding everyday.

Toledo surely ?
and M would signify ~1973, and it looks like a 1500 twin carb from this distance

Looks can be deceiving.... It's got a Dolomite 1850 'slant 4' in it and it's great fun around the track.
I have another 2 door Toledo nearing completion with a Dolomite Sprint 2L 16 valve in it; that should really annoy the 'blue oval' crew

I have a 22 year old truck that is like my first wife, a Honda daily diver for normal duty, and a Mustang convertible that I hope is still in my wife's garage the day I die.
The appearance of the roof falling in is an iPhone anomaly. lol

I used to work indirectly for British Leyland when these (and lots of others: Stag's, TR7's, 2.5PI's, rover 3500S, XJS etc) were rolling off the lines. (maybe that should be in the embarrassed thread ?)
The rectangular headlights were the key to a toledo twin round on a Dolomite.

I have never actually seen a Toledo before. I kept staring at it wondering where the square headlights were from lol
