I have a fun money savings account and a little money from each paycheck goes into the account. When it's enough to buy a watch, I buy a watch. At this point in my life I've pretty much spent all that I'm comfortable spending on watches. For me to buy another watch I'd have to like it enough to sell one of my current pieces in order to fund the new one.

I've never been a fan of the term grail watch, but that is a excellent definition. One of my favorite grail posts was at the old place when someone bought their grail watch and gushed about it only to post it for sale a week later.

One might go so far as to say that he chose his grail...

I was thinking about this last night while sadly staring at a empty whiskey bottle. I need to cut back back until I lose a few pounds.

    That doesn't sound like fun

Just don't spend (some of) your main account money each month. Same end-result.
