Two new Vacherons that caught my eye

VC just announced a number of "unique" edition watches (i.e., I believe only one of each made); these two caught my eye. The first is one I'd love to own, if I could afford it (which I'm sure I can't, even though there's no pricing information)--the Maitre Cabinotier Perpetual Calendar Regulateur:

42mm, with a new, in house, dedicated caliber (2460 RQP).

And this one, available in 39mm for the ladies and 42mm for the men (although I'm not sure too many men would wear it), the Métiers d'Art l'Éloge de la Nature: Swan. Perhaps a bit gaudy, but beautiful IMO:

It combines guilloché, enamelling, engraving and gem setting on the dial, which according to VC, took two months with four artisans to make.

Agree about the first, but the second, well, let's just say it's too "rococo"...

True, but I can still admire the artistry.

Well, yes, I know what you mean, but I still can't clearly see the artistry beyond this wall of the purest extravaganza where I hardly find the discrete refinement that makes VC one of my favourite brands.
