The two dials are projects I'm slowly working on. The skull is classical tin bronze for a client, the Hokusai wave is sterling silver for myself. The chrono is a Swiss parts collection assembled into a functional watch, and the case pieces are also a project I'm working on.
But things go slow when there is career and life in the way.
The last bit was venting, but I'm not going to address it anymore.
I like to think about how things are made and how to make things.

yes like me I build my own watches mainly use 3602 Russian movements / dials but do use a 6497/98 too have thought about doing my own dials after have a few damaged one and stripping them back to the base metal,
but have not gone any further nearly bought a skull see through dial for a build I was doing not sure on them still but like the silver one seen some great dial coming out of russia with brass cut out shapes for a fit on a 3602 or 6498/97

These two are for 2824s. Part of the reason is that these are quite a bit thicker than the standard 0.40mm brass dials, so I need the greater hand height options. But I do have a case made for 0.80mm 6497/8 that is in the queue, maybe in the fall I'll have time.

tend to stay to the 64 as cheaper movement was going to do a diver build but the prices of some of the movements are steep but did notice the clone movement price are a lot better but still can be high where a 64 is very reasonable even if you have to modify them to take a no -sub dial dial

Hey dimman. I remembered your name from the old place when I approved you (sorry for the delay BTW - we get literally hundreds of spammers signing up each week), but it's been a while. So remind me: are you a watchmaker then, or what?
You needn't concern yourself about politics and misinformation here - it just does not happen here.
