I can half remember a story of Eddie Platts asking Albert Wajs how many watches he had supplied to the military. ‘None’ was the reply, and I think Wajs was almost surprised to be asked.

Yes, I remember those and (having looked it up) they were slimmer, at 11mm. They didn’t have to accommodate hands, of course. I always found them a bit odd, like a flattened and distorted 5600.

yes I know asian ones are clones just wanted some more back history like unitas became eta etc etc and how quality is plus is it worth going from a 6497 to a st36 skeleton instead . ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.png)

The ‘swiss made’ looks out of place and incongruous with the (Cuban) brand name text above, and especially the ‘Habana’ directly above it. ![Sad](images/smilies/m1502.gif)
Furthermore the ‘cigar smoking world championship’ text also looks totally ridiculous.
I do normally like the wackiness of this brand though.
