Any idea as to what that movement could be replaced with?
Many thanks!

heads up don't think we can show mm anymore vaguely remember a thread on it . in what way does the sub seconds get in the way as in wrong position? feel a tad guilty as advised the movement but the threads all confirmed it . I once looked for a working mm that was damaged to case and crystal and swap out parts so thats an option .
if I had known I would have maybe just advised a new one maybe a parnis as they do lovely ones for not a lot of money and they use the 6498 and 6497 which are so easy to get and service and work on I have used them a lot and you can use the russian 3602 in some of the cases too I have swapped between the two .
I made a few from scratch so could be a fun father and son thing to do just remember when using the 6497 and 6498 if going no sub then you have to shorten the seconds pinion which gets tricky .
think you need the st 16 then but seem hard to get or is that just where I have checked ?

you sure that you are correct with the st16 as the movement in it ?
as reading my above post seems like a central seconds not sub seconds ?

just wish I could have saved you time and your friends money by following the cardinal rule.
always double check movement i.d and always get pics of movement to start with if I had known
it was a pan design then would of clocked the error sooner

yeah and some pics of the back of the movement in it to start with will help me to id the movement better as the pics up are of the st16 so no real help..
so what we know at the minute is it's a sub nine movement thats an auto so just trying to place as I say with the pans I did went for hand winders and used either the 6498 or 6497 so not up on autos and st movements so st25 and st35 come to mind but not sure if autos or not so pics of movement will help fo sure
