yeah bit weird as the mounts I bought was suppose to fit crown's in general when I measure it I got 37mm to 37.3 in the inner ring centre I broke one mount ..mounting that fiver and several on a 1977 crown ..and god know how many I snap the soldering on trying on a 1981 crown it's annoying in a way can get 16mm 18mm and 20mm in silver plate or 37 in nickel but not a lot fits those sizes from what I can tell

I had all of the £2 coins and 50p pieces in 2012 I think - Olympic games special I think

I like the shield the smaller coins make.

Collecting for the sake of collecting is fun and satisfying. I did it organically and naturally, as and when they came across my or work colleagues pockets (may have paid them a quid or two but more for a bit fo fun). Had people asking if I had this one or that one... Good nostalgic vibes thinking about it now.

Much less chance of that nowadays as I do not use coins and wouldn't be interested in buying them.

some of them are worth coin the judo one and shooting one and badminton I think but yes some of the 50p make silly money the kew garden 50p for example is worth hundreds to some collectors so be worth looking on the bay to flog them if you still got them as in that condition.. worth some for some of them but if full set then could be bonkers money if you ant feeling it any more ..

I do the same just change lucky dip for the 50p and £2 quid's but that ant happens as much as more people are looking

got some duplicate potter ones and the like got two of the Paddington ones

oh and first pic ant showing

As soon as I finished the collection and took the photo I spend all of mine on beer. Was 11 years ago tbf so I don't feel so bad, coins might be worth more now but beer costs a whole lot more still.

Good for you. Maybe I'll ease off the sauce one day too - can't hurt!

Pint down my way is £6-7 usually, I tend to drink in half decent places.

You can still get one in a wetherspoons for £3.50 sometimes.

thanks some days harder then others but once you've been sober for a long time makes you want to stay sober more but you have to want to make that choice first can't help anyone who do want to help themselves it's that simple or so it seems from my experience's normally come's to a point where it has to change though..

just trying to remember what I paid think £2.50 was the norm but can't honestly remember
