    The latest King Charles

For many decades the Royal Post box has had the letters ER on it for Queen Elizabeth. Now that Charles has the throne will every box be changed?

What else bears the ER and may require a change? I mean substantial things, not stationary.

The official line is that existing post boxes will not be updated with CR. No great surprise when there are still plenty of VR & GR boxes still in use as well as the ER ones.
What they'll do with any new ones is another matter; though many 'local' post boxes are made from cast iron so tend to last 'forever'.

I'm sure the royal mint will be working flat out to get new coins and notes into circulation.

As mentioned above, we’re still using Queen Victoria’s post boxes -

As long as no one ends up in the ER, we're good.
Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
