It's that feeling when instruments we have had since forever now became vintage. I want to say "I'm still using it! I'm not done yet!" The fetishizing of vintage Fenders and certain Gibsons has become a sort of torture to instrument lovers. They aren't *THAT* good. They have a sound we recognize. That's a good thing.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

For me it’s a feeling of comfort and familiarity, it’s knowing how the instrument feels and plays, like an extension of you. I wouldn’t get that feeling just from picking up a vintage instrument that I hadn’t owned for a long time, only from one that had been with me for years.

It was a whole thing involving 7th grade students. We spent the morning at different stations doing trail maintenance type projects. It was quite fun.

This one is definitely never leaving my collection (not that I'm a big flipper anyway). But I was wearing this one when my son was born -- so it's never going anywhere.
