Embedding YouTube Videos
Per Admin:
"You have to use the full www.youtube.com URL from the address bar, not one of the youtu.be addresses. For some reason those don't work in vB."
Please pass the word.

Just use the insert video icon on the panel at the top. Pate in the whole URL from yYouTube and it should work after you post the message.

Maybe it's the people posting from mobile devices that are using it ? (or one of those new fangled pharmaceutical devices) , cos when you post from a non-mobile device (i.e. a PC or mac etc) there is only one link (the right one) in the address bar you can copy and paste

I use my mobile to upload video (v occasionally)
As Jeannie says, using the url from the address bar and remembering to erase the 'm' in the address, which if left in would mean the link would only work on other mobile devices :-)

That part of the vB is expecting (nay, demanding) a certain format , if it's not just so , it doesn't embed
