    Help!!

    Hi folks,
i'm going to order a Gavox Curtiss P-40 small seconds. It will be used as a beater. Now i keep on switching between G-shock's and regular watches, but this watch can be worn "in the terrain" ànd "in the office". Only one thing keeps me from ordering, and that is wich version to choose. I know witch model, but they come in black PVD or brushed SS. I never owned a PVD watch. Will it chip or scratch? Will the PVD fade? Wich one would you choose? PVD or SS?

I quite like the PVD look, but as it's going to be 'used & abused' - The brushed stainless steel, all the way for me.
PVD is a coating; and like all coatings, it can and will wear off.

With the stainless you can 'brush out' any scuffs & scratches; the same can't be said of PVD
Some people have opinions - The rest of us have taste.

For what it's worth I think the SS looks better too on that model.

I like the look of the PVD but would be a little concerned about durability.

Black watches always look better in pictures than they do in real life in my experience. I only have one DLC watch right now, a Stowa Black Forest Flieger.

As others have said, black coatings are likely to come off. Even in careful wear, my Stowa already has one spot where the coating has been knocked off.

Some watches may actually look alright with worn coatings, but I have given up on PVC and DLC watches.

Not a fan of PVD anything. SS all the way!

    SS. More versatile, wears better.
