No box No papers
I am just in a coffee shop on vacation , have been offered a watch in what looks like a reputable store but it has no box or papers - thrown away in store renovation .
The opening offer is 30% under retail , what would you do ?

Wonder how much discount there would be even with box and papers. Also: where's it been living all this time? How long on display?

If 30% off is their opener, I'd hold out for more. It's "old", they've thrown away a bunch of stuff that should be with it and they want to move it.

Ashford only has a few Blancpains, but they range from 28% to 48% and Jomashop has a ton that range from 15% to at least 53%. They've got 50 Fathoms for up to 42% discount. All of those will come with boxes and papers, so I would definitely hold out for more.

I would probably want to see at least 40-50% off. Without the original papers, I would be concerned about the warranty vein honored. And because it is an older model, it's been sitting for a while and closer to needing service.

You should hold out for 40% off or so.
Do you have a pic or the model #? Some BP models are very hard to resell and depreciate a lot (even with the 30-40% discount you'd get).
