Thread: Does anyone keep monthly stats of the watches they wear?

Does anyone keep monthly stats of the watches they wear?

I have a spreadsheet that I have setup with the watches I own that I use for keeping track of the number of times I wear a watch as well as the size, type of movement and case finish.

    Anyone else do this?

Impressive. Wish I had the time to make something like this.

I just open the watch case each morning and find something that appeals to me for that day.

Guess I need to set up into 21st century technology...........sigh!

My nerd senses are all tingling after seeing that.

I am curious what's patterns are like. I have watches in at least 4 different locations in my house so my daily selection is based on a small portion of my collection. Plus, my 3-year old often picks out my watch so my results would definitely be a bit skewed.

    I'm no where that OCD.

i do the normal thing.. all i do i sync all my watches and the 1st day of everymonths -- sync to the second with time.is . and make notes how many seconds each watch drift (if they are quartz).
and make sure the minute hand align with the second hand when it 12. plus make sure the auto i wear that day sync to the seconds.
oh and clean and wipe every watch before storing and after wearing.. plus inspect each if i made dings or scratches in any of them.. i dont have many watches only several dozens.

    just normal stuff.

I am far too lazy to do this. I cannot remember which watch two days ago.

I just keep a running total on my phone then throw it in my spreadsheet.

Yep. And after a few months if I realize a piece hasn't been worn it's time to consider flipping it for something that will get wrist time.
