Original Gangsta
The contrast is very unreadable. And using white background (as opposed to even gray or blue) makes it really hard on the eyes.
Also, a separate section for discussing politics and religion would be fantastic -- if we are looking to have adult conversations, that is. You could always enforce a moratorium in the rest of the forum.

A cage room of sorts with lax moderation has been suggested, and not discounted.

Actually, dark text on a light background has been proven repeatedly to be more readable. I have done a lot of work over the years on website accessibility and that is always one of the primary goals. Here's some interesting discussion on the topic:

That said, we will look into the font and see if we can tweak things a bit. I honestly don't have any contrast issues either on my monitors or my Macbook.

I believe the like function on Tapatalk is being addressed. And do you really want to blog on a phone. My gosh man that would drive me batty. I can barely type on it as it is.

Good point. I know nothing about the technicals. I'll put my best workers on this though.
Now where did they go.

Old but Crafty
Sadly at this point Tapatalk does not support vBulletin blogs. They keep talking about it but at this point they don't.
The Like function is a Tapatalk issue and they are working on it. No results as yet. Gabe spent a lot of time before handing it off.
The old Like feature we had on another forum is not available to us since the software vendor for that plug-in is now defunct. We are using one that is pretty popular in vBulletin but - in technical terms - Tapatalk is choking on it. That's all I can tell you as our junior techie - Gabe might be able to add more when he's available.

Ich bin ein Ebeler!
There's probably a way to do this and I just don't know how, but I'd like to know when someone replies to one of my posts. This is more interesting to me than a 'like' and I should see what's been written in case a response in needed. Any way to do this? Is this a 'trackback' and how does one turn that on?

I don't know of a way to track a reply to one of your posts specifically, but you can subscribe to a thread and will be notified if there is a new post in that thread. It's under thread tools.
