Joining the G crowd
Figured I'd stop hatin' and give these rubbery bad boys a shot
Whatcha think? Do they make my wrists look more rugged?

Excellent first G that is the direct descendant fro the first g-shock!
let see how far this 'plastic cheapo' bring you hehehe..
someday, if you get hooked, i recomend the screwback version with all stainless case.. it feel so great on the wrist and i personally love them..
they do have better LCD contrast... a big plus from me.
a bit pictorial..

Misinformed watch snobs like to see a plastic digital watch and scoff at it. It's almost a cliche in itself. Usually the same group will scoff at Rolex as well. Funny how they go hand in hand. They don't want to see a watch that has historical significance, tons of innovations and probably the most durable watch ever created. If one doesn't like the looks that doesn't change the facts of what G Shocks have done from music and movie stars in action films to real life military and police usage G Shock comes 2nd to none in dependability and durability. One of the true tool watches left.

Hater may be a strong word
Just have always had less affinity for digital watches than mechanical ones. What first drew me to watches was the intricate gears and engineering.
It took some time for me to start to appreciate Quartz and after than some more time to appreciate digital displays.
The speedmaster x33 first got me interested in digital
Then the history and quality and price of the gshock pulled me over the edge.
Gonna sport one of these guys tomorrow. Leave it up to you guys to decide which one
