    well, you can't delete posts once they're made, so the only way to get rid of the content is to edit it. And, you can't edit to remove all the content in a post, so a . or a .. or something else (eg 'deleted') is the only way to go

    After considering The Question for the past 36 hours straight, I find I am unable to answer The Question using the choices provided, since the true and correct Answer is Sometimes, which as anyone will realize upon reflection means Yes, and means No, and means Maybe.
