Thread: Tempting/tempted

    Tempting/tempted

OK, one of the usual self-nag threads where you can put the current horological love of your life ....

.........the watch you've suddenly got the lust for ....

Maybe it'll help if you post a picture of it .... to help lessen the want ..... or maybe to justify it eventually into a purchase....

Here's (one of) mine right now:

    7750 of course.

I'll just stare at it for a while and it might go away ........

(PS big plus: It's got helicopter seconds ... based on the name/origin of the watch)

I'll play. I'm only planning on one watch next year, and I can't decide whether to get a white gold dress watch to complement the VC, or the AP RO. If the former, I need to try this one on to see if it's too small at 36mm:

If it's too small, I might go for this one, but I fear it's too sterile:

Otherwise, it might be this one:

I am not the biggest fan of Patek Phillippe, but THAT, sir, is g...g...gor...GORGEOUS!

Hard to argue against the Royal Oak, though.

I don't envy you that decision. Although, the easy solution would be to buy both and send me the one you don't keep. I'm here for ya, man! That is just the sort of thing I do for friends.

Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

The Archimede 42mm pilot's watch in brass has suddenly caught my attention. I like the A dial, but I really like the B dial. The price tag, not that it is terribly high, will likely keep it at arms length for the time being. Maybe a Christmas gift.
