Get More For A Score
Like the Four Quid Challenge (here) except the budget is twenty quid (that's a Jackson and a half) plus shipping
Deadline for making purchases is Monday bedtime, a week and a half from now (Mon 2 Feb). That gives you two Sunday afternoons on ebay when the auctions are coming to a close, plus a bit time afterwards to find something on Buy It Now if you've failed.
When you've made your purchase post a partial screengrab of it as proof. Disclosure of the item is whenever you like.
When each watch arrives, post it, and it will go up against the reigning champion, with the consensus deciding the victor.
I won't be playing so I'll adjudicate what that consensus is. Appeals can be made to a mod, I suppose.
More rules to be made up on the hoof.

I have question.
What are the criteria for success?
Does the watch need to be working?
Or is it just the most interesting purchase that will win?

Not working is an automatic fail. You are permitted to get it working through your own skill, but not through anyone else's.
After that, consensus will just know. In a tie Grand Seiko > Omega > Rolex, obvs
