    Conversation at Lunch

Some snippets of conversation overheard at lunch in Friendly's (Syracuse) yesterday.

5 year old Teddy: "Dad when I get older will I lose all my hair? I don't want to lose my hair."
Teddy's Dad: "Don't worry Teddy. You have hair just like Grandpa (although the color is better.) Grandpa's pretty old and he still has most of his hair."

Grandpa (to 4 year old Veronica): "Are you still Grandpa's best buddy?"
Veronica: "I can't be your buddy when I grow up, Grandpa. I have to be a Mommy then."
Grandpa: But, but...your Mommy is still my buddy and she was at your age too."
Veronica: "OK I'll be your buddy then." (big hug.)

We are putting up early Christmas decorations and one of my youngest says " Jesus asked Santa if he could have his birthday at Christmas so everyone could enjoy it "

It was not made clear at what point and where this conversation took place between Jesus and Santa.

I had an interesting chat with a guy in work today. He's just back from a family holiday in Spain and his 4 year old asked if they could go back for 10 weeks (why 10 weeks????)

My work mate asked his son 'we could but who will look after our dog whilst we're there? '

His son replied 'we could kill the dog?'

The chat continued and I asked my colleague what breed of dog it was and it's a boxer..

He was telling me the unfortunate dog was born with a deformed lower jaw and had to have it removed!

Curiosity got the better of me and I asked 'how does the dog eat?' He said 'very messily, followed by a ritual clean of the surrounding walls' was I wrong to laugh? To be fair he laughed too
