Anyone going to the watch fair at Brunel University tomorrow?

I'm wandering over, mostly to try to divest myself of all but three of my radium watches as the kids are getting to the point where they are a bit too curious and can get into the place I store them. I was just wondering who else might be going along?

Ninety miles makes it a bit far for me.

I went there twice when I lived a bit closer. The traders seemed more set up for selling than buying. None were interested in a Stowa flieger that I once took along.

been meaning to go to the Birmingham one as a birthday treat each year as they hold it the day after my birthday their each year

but not heard much of the one in brunel so pics are a must

so reading that they use to be but not from the start of 2019 hmmm makes some sense from what chatter I have heard about it not seeming to be as good this year it seemed but thats just from gossip heard thou

Finally home after a punishing day. I had two objectives today: divest myself of all the radioactive watches and clocks I own, preferably for something cool, classic and difficult to justify and to pick up a ‘new’ car. The watch fair was at Brunel, the car near Welwyn Garden City. I needed to use the old car to get to Brunel in time, then I drove back to Strood and jumped on a train to get the new car. I drove the new car back home, met my wife who drove me back up to strood to pick up the other car (with the kids) before she went off to London to work tomorrow and I drove back and put the kids to bed.

I am Knackered.

So. Everything radioactive but the Everest Smiths has gone. That includes the Suveran, the A17, three ATP watches, Three DH watches, The Oyster with the dodgy snowite case (discovering it was really quite impressively radioactive is why that project stopped suddenly half way through) and even the brand new ebay nightmare Tudor. As well as an extensive cast of dodgy stuff of indeterminate age and value. Oh and two highly radioactive alarm clocks: the JLC one and the Smiths used by Hillary.

All of these have been exchanged for a single classic military watch, arguably the classic military watch. Any guesses as to what?
