Thread: I am so tempted .....

    I am so tempted .....

Dropped by my regular AD for a lunch time chat today. I do this quite often, partly to build rapport with them, partly, to get them out of boredom during lull period, and they appreciate it.

    And I saw this......

Jean Richard Terrascope. Basic 3 hander with date, running on SW-2000. It looks big (45mm if not mistaken), but some how, I am attracted by its looks. Pretty good finishing at that price point. Interestingly, despite it having a 100m WR rating, it doesn't have a screw down crown....interesting....

There is also the bracelet version, tried it, felt solid, very well built, but looked chunky, and a bit on the dressy side.

    What do you think?

Mikey: I think you have the exact same watch, except that it is on bracelet....your take on this after owning it for a while....

I like the general shape and heft, didn't they have some coloured/textured dials in that collection. Not that there is anything wrong with a nice black.
Is it gloss like a piano black?

They do, but quite limited. I liked the green and purple dials as well, but I am also cautious that my attraction to any of those colors may be short live.

And yes, it has a glossy dial.

I am giving myself a few days to think this over...

Cool watch for sure. I love the arrow hands and clean dial. The only problem I have with them is the price. At $3k I would rather get something else.

i traded it for the CFB diver
and its something i would get again
am looking at the one with the blue wave dial

i wore it often, its super comfy once the bracelet is sized properly
mine was the white dial, its a glossy piano white, giving it a bit of depth

for the price, it is very very well finished and the fit is excellent

I agree with your comments. Unfortunately (which is why I am so tempted) or fortunately, it is definitely less than $3k.

As usual, you have always been very helpful. Thanks.

I really like the build quality of the bracelet. Only problem is I have too many divers on bracelet, and wanted something different. The strap that comes with it is really comfortable.
