Blue lizard arrived. Gold case and silver dial very welcoming

    That looks really good, DA!

Any thoughts on the quality of the lizard yet? Supplesness? Feel?

It's pretty firm, but being thin it's bending ok. Fortunately on the last hole it fits me perfectly, so the strap is wrapped around my wrist very neatly. My expectation is that it will mold itself to my wrist, so I'm being careful that it's sitting in the right place. The thickness of it is just right for the 2209 so I've now got that It Almost Isn't There feel

Excellent match, DA! It is just the right shade of blue for that watch.

The lighting in the advert wasn't very good, so it was a bit of a punt The dark blue does what I wanted of it, which is to stop the silver feeling so lonely. What I hadn't expected is that the combination does have some genuine warmth. The blue is deep enough to add a generous tone, one which turns the cold dial into a just a freshening touch. And gold is so confident that it scatters both sparkle and more warmth.

Also I've had two 2209s and liked them both, and this is the first time I've had a strap which makes them feel truly comfortable on my wrist. I think the angles of the lugs and the shape of my wrist need this very neat, sleekly fitted strap.

Really nice combo. Sets off the gold in the watch very well.
