I'm pretty punctual I guess, except that time I missed my train home from the gtg because not a single one of these was set to the correct time (true story).

Punctual (or early) unless there's been something really beyond my control and normal allowance for en-route.
It's what we do.

No. At least it wasn't a conscious effort to do so.

Certainly, as long as you substitute the word 'advances' for 'advantages'
Reasonably certain I've never used my phone to check the time.
Final thought: Being late is rude - Period.
Some people have opinions - The rest of us have taste.

I used to be late all the time, despite knowing exactly what the time was: idleness trumped caring about being on time.
Then I moved into an environment where being late wasn't an option, where appointments always start *exactly* at the advertised time.
I still like relaxed feelings that come with being idle so I tend to arrive very early to things and then enjoy lazing around until the appointed time.

There was a lot of fiddling with crowns at that one, yeah.... bizarre. None of them were showing the right date either, by the end

This to a T.
I was always taught it was a lack of respect for other people's time.
