If you prefer to wear watches on straps, it makes perfect sense to wear them on straps, leather included. It takes me 30 seconds to change to rubber for water duty.

Fully agree, it is quite easy, simple and fast to change between bracelet, rubber or leather.

No doubt it's easy enough to change the strap back. It's the fact that it was on there to begin with. Kinda like seeing a Patek on a NATO. A dress watch shouldn't have a sports watch type strap on it and vice-versa. There are different types of watches out there for a reason. But, just to my eyes of course. Taste is different for everybody. To each his own.

There was a time when I would have never considered leather for a dive watch. That was back when I had far fewer watches and I lived next to the ocean and was in the water all the time. Now the only time I go diving is with a lot of travel and pre-planning, so there isn't really a situation where I am heading into the water and stuck with a leather strap. Honestly, I tend to only wear my Doxa on bracelet when diving anyway, so it's a non-issue regardless. And since it's humid and sticky all summer where I live, I only have watches on bracelet or rubber that time of year. That way if I end up encountering a pool, lake, river, or garden hose, I can get my watch wet without ruining anything.
