Probing into blues
I probably stated more than once on the forum that I wasn't a fan of blue dials. Well, I'm still not, but when checking stuff out when my Zodiac came back from repair, I saw this:
And I thought that it could be a kind of blue that I wouldn't mind. At the moment I would actually prefer it to my black dial version.
As many of you know already, I won't touch another Zodiac with a barge pole, so here's the challenge: show me watches with blue dials that don't actually scream 'blue' in your face.
Other requirements:
- auto/mechanical
- no gild
- 38-40mm dia
- below or around €1k
- no typical (ie Sub-ish, SKX-ish, Sumo-ish etc) divers
I know there was one blue-dialled watch I liked, but I totally can't remember what it was and what kind of blue it had.
One candidate that I immediately think of is this recently announced Seiko:
Another one, and an example of what kind of divers I could consider, is this Oris 65 (although I remember trying one on and it didn't do anything for me):
And don't you dare post suggestions without pics!
