Thread: Watch band recommendation

    Watch band recommendation

    Can anyone suggest an affordable shark mesh band? I've seen a few online but worry about the quality. Thought someone here might have some insight.

    I've been watching these on eBay;

    They appear to have a better clasp set-up than some others I've seen. And like the Omega mesh bracelets, you may need to use cutters to remove a row of mesh from the lug ends, but the clasp has some adjustment in it.

    Watch out for the cheapie mesh bracelets as most have poor clasps. Teeritz recommendation above looks pretty good.

    Might also check strapcode.com

    Cheap is rarely worthwhile with bracelets, especially mesh as the thin mesh can easily deform. I think that is a bigger issue than clasp quality.

    I had a strapcode. It seemed decent but the non clasp end bothered my wrist a little so I sold it.

    This was 6 quid from China. Whilst I haven't any experience with more expensive mesh bracelets I can tell a crap link bracelet from a good one, and this is perfectly nice.

    Nope - I haven't experienced a more expensive one yet so I'm not qualified to make a real comparison; just saying that £6 gets you something half decent. Hopefully someone who's tried both will weigh in!

    When it comes to mesh Omega is the top of the heap, strap code and tungchoy offer decent quality at a fairly low price point. I have 3 or 4 of the others but the only one I put on and wear for any length of time is the Omega, it's been on 20 or more watches and has taken a beating

    That's what I picture when someone mentions shark mesh bracelets.
