They were named after the BOAC call-sign, referencing the Mk11s that were issued to BOAC pilots rather than the pilots of the RAF. The first of them was Eddie’s first watch in 2001 - the PRS-1.
There were little things about them that weren’t quite right to my eyes, which is why I have a Hawkinge instead.

And what did you buy today ?

I like them as well. Trying to decide if they're "me"; i.e., will one end up getting reasonable wrist time.

That's a beautiful watch. For a tool watch guy like me, that is a very dressy watch. I would probably only wear it with a suit. In other words, it would spend a lot of the time in my watch box, but it would be great to have on certain occasions. Having the option of a black croc strap, along with the steel band, would be nice.

Came to the same conclusion, that it would hardly ever get worn. ![Shrug](images/smilies/shrug.gif)
I keep telling myself it should be hand-wind and a couple of mm thinner; makes me feel better about not getting (or at least trying to get) one.

Same thought when these came out , and all gone.
On seeing some real world pics. posted , and reviews got smitten. The cream , ace , but the stary dial , well , shone
ordered a strap the same day , had tracking now , taking ages. Might try on when in then wrap

As a pen guy, I'm looking forward to see what you bought.
I've been going a bit crazy in that department snapping up Nahvalur "Voyage" fountain pens, a new TWSBI Kai; and two Leonardo Momento Zero pens. (I think there's a connection between Leonardo and the original OMAS brand.)
